What is VanVentures?
Our app, vanVentures, offers an exciting and engaging experience where users can explore local landmarks, attend events, and complete cultural challenges. It encourages social connectivity by allowing users to add friends, participate in group challenges, and expand their network. The app also features progress tracking, with milestone celebrations and leaderboards to recognize achievements. Additionally, users can document their journey in a personalized experience log, creating a diary of completed activities. To use vanVentures, simply sign up, select a challenge, complete the tasks, and earn rewards while making new connections along the way.
HOW IT WORKS
As our user’s goals were to learn and explore the local culture of Vancouver, build a social network, and have a sense of belonging here we designed this application. We included challenges that the users can browse through to explore Vancouver, like visiting major attractions, local cafes, or holiday themed events. Also, when the users have arrived at a location of a challenge, they will receive a notification. They can then complete the challenge by adding a journal entry about their experience and activities they did there. As well, to help the users socialize we included a page where they can add friends which allows them to see some of their friends achievements they accomplished on the app. All these interactions help reach the users goals.
